2014 Summer Lovin'

Another year... Another Spring and we are now beginning to dream of Summer Adventures.  We the count down till our school days are done... the kids are itching to make plans.  Like in years past we will likely do some repeats and we hope to add some new things to consider.  As always we strive to do as many as we can.  And let adventure be out guide.  Please share with us what your up to and what your summer bucket list entails.

The 2014 Summer Lovin' Bucket List (in progress).

1.  Starting JACS' Movie Theater (an outdoor theater at home).
2. Stay Up 24 hours
3. Tie Dye T-shirts
4. Set up Club House in the Shed.
5.  Put funny sticky notes with messages on random cars.
6. Silly String Fight
7. Family Artwork Project
8. Family Bike Ride We still need to get Daddy a Bike
9.  Go to an Arcade
10. Make a 2014 Family Flag
11. Make Homemade Lemonade
12.  Our annual trip to Mt. Evans
13. Get a Zoo Membership
14.  Make a Photo Nature Journal

Well spring has hit and it is time to start thinking about 2013 and what  we want to do.
We will probably still work off of last year's list.   Do some repeats and add some new items.

  10. Sand Castles at our wannabe beach (Cherry Creek Reservoir) 
  11. Sleep in a Tipi
  12. Read all 7 of Jules Vernes novels as a family  Finished
  13. Water Balloon Fights
  14. Gorge on Popsicles (fruit ones)- submitted by Mr. J
  15.  play board games
  16. Hike Roxborough State Park Done
  17. Hike Castlewood Canyon Completed 6/16/12
  18. Play in the River at the Lair O' the Bear
  19. Suck Helium out of balloons and record the kids talking DOne
  20. Star Gaze Check
  21. Go camping... again, again, and again Check 1

  53. Visit a Planetarium
  54. Fill the backyard with Prayer Flags
  55. Pick Berries at the Berry Patch Farms

  61. At the end of the summer, print up lots of pictures and let the kids make their own scrapbook of our "Not Bummer Summer 2012"

  64. Go to a professional Fire Works display for the Fourth of July- Most all of the Firework shows were cancelled due to the Colorado Wildfires and the Statewide Ban. =(

  68. Our annual trip to Mt. Evans
  69. Visit Barr Lake State Park for the first time Check!
  70. Visit Red Rocks Amphitheater... again (its a family favorite)

  72. Do the Hammond's Candy Factory Tour
  73. Start Muffin Tin Monday's again.  We haven't done that in a long time!
  74. Visit the Rocky Mountain Arsenal and Wildlife Refuge
  75. Do a five mile hike
  76. Campout at Rocky Mountain National Park CHECK
  77. Go to the Urban Street Farmer's Market in Denver
  78. Make a Summer Book Basket with the kids
  79. Make Some Memory Jars
  80. Make Waldorf Window Stars
  81. Keep a log of our Summer Reading Books
  82.  Make Baked Goods in a orange Skin on a campfire. Orange Rolls ? Campfire Muffins? Camping Cakes?
